Machinery Lubrication II

Machinery Lubrication II moves beyond a fundamental understanding of lubrication based reliability, this course extends to the application of these topics creating the ability to assess, evaluate and select the right lubricants for each situation.

The learner will leave with a review of key lubrication concepts, and extend to lubricant properties their importance, to how they are tested and evaluated. Learners will develop a deeper understanding of the causes and impacts of lubricant failure as well as how to stop or delay the failure. In addition to lubricant failure, an examination of the causes of machine failure and how to stop or hinder this type of failure.

ML II will cover the lifecycle of a lubricant, from reception, storage, transfer, application, to disposal, with special emphasis on the key performance indicators, oil analysis and machine modifications necessary at each stage. Students will be prepared to take the ICML Level II Machinery Lubrication Technician Certification Exam
